We See Our Youth Today As Bright, Shining Stars
Reaching Towards The Future, Full Of Potential.

Do you know what happens when you put children first? You always get a smile. And most of the time, a hug of appreciation and gratitude. But deep inside, when you look in their eyes, you see self-respect beginning to blossom, which in turn means respect of others. You see a flicker of hope as they think, "maybe I really can amount to something."

When you put a child first, you put the future first.

Since 1990, Americans For A Better Tomorrow (AFBT) has worked with thousands of youth through our various programs. Together with partners like City of Phoenix Fightback, APS, Arizona Builders Alliance, local organizations, businesses, and caring individuals, and with collaborative partners like the Roosevelt School District, South Mountain YMCA, Make A Difference Foundation, KABOOM Playgrounds, and other organizations, we serve as a catalyst for change by giving youth opportunities to develop social and physical skills. We've been helping kids learn respect for authority, leadership skills, physical conditioning and how to say "no" to drugs, gangs, alcohol, tobacco and sex before marriage.

Power Fitness for Youth©, a fitness and character development program for 7th and 8th grade students, incorporates both a fitness and classroom curriculum that has been approved by the Roosevelt School District and has been presented in eighteen schools. Our NEW Power Fitness program, "Pure Power" , which is abstinence education, is now being taught in our local schools.

Our signature community event, the Holiday Fun Fest, serves over 2,000 children annually. The Christmas program includes a meal for the family, games and a Christmas stocking for the children. "Adopt a Family in Need" is another December program serving the community.

Our goal is to build a better tomorrow for our youth with the help of others with like hearts and passions for this noble cause. We would like to tell you more about our organization and how you can become involved. Simply call 602-232-2061 or contact us at info@afbt.org.
